1. GENERAL FORUM RULES

N) Thread Bumping
Thread bumping with posts such as 'service still available', 'still exchanging' etc. is not allowed.

2. E-CURRENCY EXCHANGE RULES

A) E-currency exchanges are dangerous. There's always a risk. If you are exchanging with a well reputed member, that risk is low. If you are exchanging with a newbie or not a reputed member, the risk is high. If you are looking for an absolutely 100% safe exchange, it is not possible. EMF is not liable for any loss you may incur while exchanging on this forum.

B) PayPal, AlertPay and Moneybookers exchanges pose a risk of chargeback. Ask for at least 72 hours hold when exchanging these e-currencies. Although, this does not guarantee that the other person will not chargeback after 72 hours but it does reduce the chances of it. If you are being asked to show a screenshot of your account status, balance or transaction history, you must do so.

C) Do not call anyone a scammer without showing definitive proof.

D) Do not give or ask for an iTrader (feedback score) without doing an exchange with them.

E) The minimum amount traded to give/receive an iTrader is $2. If you have exchanged a smaller amount than that, you cannot give/receive an iTrader. If we find that you are doing exchanges with someone only to build reputation (get iTraders), we will remove all your iTraders.

F) Administrators of the forum are the MOST trusted people. If they approach you for an exchange or vice versa, be prepared to send first especially if you are new. If you cannot trust the administrators, there is no place for you here.

3. E-CURRENCY EXCHANGE TIPS

A) If you are doing an exchange between either Paypal or Alertpay, please take your time and do not rush the exchange. You should allow the other member 48-72 hours to send the money he agreed to exchange in return for your PayPal or AlertPay.

B) Do not be eager to send the other person their money before 48-72 hours. There is a great chance that they paid you with stolen or hacked funds. If this is the case, the transaction will be reversed.

C) When exchanging with PayPal always have the other member send the money through Personal > Payment Owed. This will decrease the chances of a chargeback as PayPal will find it very suspicious that the other user owes you money yet he is trying to get his money refund. Look at it this way, if the other user sent you money through 'online purchase' then the other user can easily say that you did not send the item and he wants his money back. It's a very simple scam, don't fall for it.

D) If someone contacts you over the Instant Messenger (Yahoo, MSN etc.) and tells you that he is interested in exchanging with you, MAKE SURE HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS BEFORE STARTING THE EXCHANGE. If he says he is a trusted member on EMF, he might not always be telling the truth! Always have the user Private Message you inside the forum or post in your thread to confirm he is the real user he says he is. If he refuses to do this for any reason then he is a scammer! If he says he cannot PM you or post in your thread and he makes up some (almost believable) excuse why he cannot do so then do not exchange with him! It is a scam!

E) Figure out as much information as possible about the user himself! Some good examples are his: Name, Phone number for SMS or Call, Country he/she lives in, Where he has obtained the funds he is going to exchange with you (If he says they were obtained through eBay or some other auction site of the the sort have him send you the listing to make sure he actually sold the item), his YM, MSN, Gmail, AIM, ICQ, Skype etc., other forums he has exchanged on for more reputation. After you have received this information go ahead and search it on google and see if anything pops up that may discourage you to trade with him. For example: You type in his YM in google and an article or website pops up that says he is a scammer, show the website or article to him and ask for his explanation.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning or a ban. EMF reserves the right to alter/change/remove these rules at any time. It is YOUR responsibility to check back regularly for updates.
